Dear Colleagues!

It is a great pleasure to welcome you to the 4th Nordic Conference on Research on Transitions, Career and Guidance to be held in Turku, the oldest city in Finland.

Building on the success of previous conferences, the upcoming conference will discuss the lingering inequalities in career opportunities and outcomes. Focusing on the intersectional perspectives of research, we will highlight the need to recognise the complexity of factors that produce and maintain such inequalities.

Around this theme we have set up an event that offers attendees a unique opportunity to learn, mingle and build a valuable network. The characteristic features of Turku, including magnificent old architecture, river ships and cafes by the river, add to the pleasure of the conference, providing lasting memories beyond the science. Don’t miss out on our interesting academic programme and look forward as well to a stimulating social programme.

See you soon in Turku!

On behalf of the local organising committee,

Professor Tero Järvinen
